The month of June is globally labelled as the Month of Pride, and it seems that special commemorative periods like these are more needed than ever at a time when the impact of global pandemics continues to take its toll on the social climate as a whole, with racism and targeted violence also exacerbating the harms of discrimination to which the LGBTQ* community has been exposed for so many years.
On behalf of Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH, we are very happy to endorse and follow this month’s call to action by making a mark in favour of diversity:
We are raising the LGBTQ flag!
This is anything but lip service for us because diversity in all its dimensions is part and parcel of everyday life at Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH: Diversity is firmly rooted in our corporate culture and thus omnipresent! Tolerance, acceptance and solidarity are key across Schneider – we value and promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
An 80-strong team from almost a dozen nations work and live out the values of cultural community at Schneider’s headquarters in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Dialogue promotes understanding and change, it creates empathy and opens the mind up to new perspectives!
We believe that this colourful diversity is the bread and butter of life – regardless of whether it shows in a person’s ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation or whatever. We live up to the principles of diversity, and we keep celebrating it across our staff and our company – in the midst of society.
